Study on IEC61850 Conformance Testing and Implementation in Lab

Abstract

At present,IEC61850 is the best communication standard for power system,and the essential target is to realize the interoperability,also the international standard for communication network and system of digital substation in the future.Conformance Testing is to verify whether Intelligent Electronic Device accords with models of the standard,and whether it has the interoperability.The paper describes the strongpoints of the standard,and the contents of Conformance Testing.Then the process and architecture of the test are analyzed.How to establish the test conditions of test lab,and the implementation of test case.Finally,the expectation of Conformance Testing is presented.
