Scheme and Application of IEC 61850 Standard Conformance Test

Abstract

An IEC 61850 standard conformance testing system is described, including the IED server simulator, client software, system configuration tools, IED configuration tools and protocol analysis tools. An integrated scheme for IEC 61850 standard conformance testing realization in substations is put forward. By using the IEC 61850 standard conformance testing simulation and training system, two 110kV substations of Xi’an Electric Power Supply Corporation have been tested. The analysis and research on the test results has verified the IEC 61850 standard communication functions. The existing problems are also discussed.
