Abstract
Objective: To perform statistical analysis on the usage of the outpatient prescriptions of the formula granula of traditional Chinese medicine in Hospital of TCM in Tongshan, Xuzhou so as to promote the clinical rational drug use. Method: The data of December, 2014 collected from the outpatient prescriptions of the formula granula of traditional Chinese Medicine in our hospital were analyzed statistically with regard to patients,gender,age, consumption sum and frequency and doses of drugs prescribed and the clinical diagnoses written in the prescriptions. Results: The formula granula of traditional Chinese medicine were used more often in females than males, in young and middle-aged group than by other age groups; the average consumption value of prescriptions is 176.47 yuan. Of the top 20 ranked by usage quantity,the proportion of those prescribing dose falling beyond the required scope stood at 38.96%. The proportion of non-standard clinic diagnosis stood at 15.3%. Conclusion: In our hospital, problems were noted in the drug doses of the formula granula prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine beyond the required scope and the clinical diagnoses written in the prescriptions were also far from standard. To ensure patients' clinical medication safety, it is necessary to strengthen monitoring on prescribing doses and inspection on clinical rational use of drugs.
