SOME NEW SPECIES OF THE GENERA WESMAELUS AND KIMMINSIA (NEUROPTERA:HEMEROBIIDAE)

This paper deals with 10 species of the genera Wesmaelius and Kimminsia. Among them 8 species are described as new. All the types are kept in the Department of Plant Protection of Peking Agricultural University.1. Wesmaelius asiaticus sp. n. (fig. 2-A, 3) Holotype ♀, Hopei.Allied to W. quadrifasciatus (Reut.) but anal plates of the female with rounded apex.2. Kimminsia bihamita sp. n. (fig. 2-6, 4)Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, Peking; paratypes ♂♀, Peking, Hopei, Szechuan, Niugsia, Shensi.It is a common and distinct species with the long hooklike process of male anal plates, which is very long and acrossed with each other (more longer than the Holoarc-tic species K. subnebulosa Stephens).3. K. ulingensis sp. n. (fig. 2-C, 5) Holotype ♀, Hopei.The wing markings are similar to the new species K. bihamita Yang but more darken, and the frons and genae are shining black.4. K. pekinensis sp. n. (fig. 2-D, E, 6)Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, Peking; paratypes ♂♀, Peking, Chinghai. Forewing rather narrow, with 4 longitudinal fuscous streaks on the margin.5. K. neimenica sp. n. (fig. 2-F, 7)Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, paratypes ♂♀, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.It is a small and pale species, allied to the European species K. baltica (Tjeder) but the gradate cross-veins of forewing are blackish brown, and also different on the genitalia of both sex.6. K. acuminata sp. n. (fig. 2-H, 8) Holotype ♀, Liaoning; paratype ♀, Hopei.Allied to K. sinica (Tjeder) but the tip of forewings somewhat acute, and also distinguished by the subgenitale of the female.7. K. trivenulata sp. n. (fig. 2-1)A single specimen from Szechuan lacking the tip of abdomen, but distinguished from all known species of this genus by its venation.8. K. yemenica sp. n. (fig. 10) Holotype ♀, Yemen: Sana.It is a distinct species by the genitalia of the female, which is the first recorded brown lace-wings of Yemen, and the genus Kimminsia has uot previously been recorded from the Arabian peninsula.
