Abstract

A Rose for Emily,William Faulkner's masterpiece which is a kind of allegory,centers on the whole life of Emily who comes from a noble family,reflecting the decline and the extinction of the Southern Manorial Economy and culture.This thesis intends to interpret the metaphorical meanings of Emily and the rose from the perspective of deconstruction.
