Abstract

Objective To know about health status of permanent residents in rural areas in Beijing and to provide reference to health education policy for them.Methods By the method of multistage sampling combined with stratified sampling and cluster sampling,a cross-sectional investigation was conducted among 5570 rural residents aged 13 and above.Results General health status of the rural residents in mountainous areas was the worst,while that in plain areas was the best.The health status of male residents was better than that of female residents.With the increase of age,the health status got worse and worse.Conclusion The residents in mountainous areas,the female residents and the senior residents should be the main health education objects in rural areas.
