Abstract
In order to meet the fast-developing need of high-speed train of China, and realize the domesticization of the disc brake device, the material and the structure of the cast steel brake disc were determined and its chemical composition was designed, the mechanical performance, heat distortion resistant ability and hot stability performance were investigated as well. The results show that the performance of cast steel material for high-speed train brake disc is excellent at normal atmospheric temperature and high temperature, which leads it to be recognized as an ideal brake disc material. The short urgent braking distance and the cleaning surface of the brake disc tested, totally meet the braking technology condition for Chinese high-speed train and the regulation of 《The principal technical policy of the railway》. In addition, when the cast steel brake disc is matched with a powder metallurgical brake pads, the friction brake performance is very well and the safe reliability is relatively high, which could meet the requirements of 200 km/h and 300 km/h high-speed train.
