Abstract
Objective:To explore the relation between plasma level of interleukin-18(IL-18) with development of acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods:The peripheral blood concentrations of IL-18 were measured in 63 patients with ACS,37 patients with SAP and 20 healthy patients by ELISA.The aspects of coronary artery lesions were analyzed.Results:IL-18 1evel was significantly higher in patients with ACS group than in those of SAP group and control group(P0.01),and patients with stenosis lesion in 2 or3 branches of coronary artery had higher IL-18 level than normal controls(P0.01).Conclusion:The levels of IL-18 can evaluate the severity of coronary heart disease and can be can be a serum marker to predict the occurrence of ACS.
