Abstract
Spartina alterniflora is one of the two important vegetation of salt masch in China. The planting of Spartina alterniflora and formation of Spartina alterniflora ecosystem at Jiangsu and Zhejiang coast are discussed. The ecological characters of the vegetation are analyzed based on investigation data. Analysis and investigations of the engineering, economics and ecology benefits of the coastal ecosystem are further put forward. The comprehensive influence of Spartina alterniflora ecosystem needs further studies.
