On the Essence and the Choice of Value of the Jury System

This article claims that the essence of the jury system is an important democratic political ideology and legal thought.The establishment and perfecting of jury system is a form which makes judicial system to achieve democracy and civilization.Adopted at the 11th Session of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress on August 28,2004,decisions on perfecting people jury system is the first legal literature which roundly ordains the jury system by the numbers.It conquers many legislative shortages in the past,and has a conclusion on whether we should retaining or abolishing jury system in legislation.But our jury system also has some deficiencies,like uncertainty on the choice of value and the low legal status.We should have more study on it.
