Abstract
The tin content in float glass is an important parameter of controlling the float glass process. It has influences on the scattering and transmittance of the glass, in particular on that of the heat treated glass. It relates directly to the ratio of transmittances of the glass before and after heat treatment. A measurement method of the tin content calculated based on the measurement of the transmittance ratio was proposed. Experimental results show that the sensitivity for the method increases with the increasing of heating temperature. It is about 0.05 g/m2 when the float glass is heated at 770℃ in air. The relative error is about ±2.2% for the method.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
