Abstract

Acetamiprid is a new type of chloronicotinyl insecticides and mainly used in fruit and vegetable production to control the pests, such as aphides, thrips, aleyrodid.Peroral toxicity determination and pesticide residue period were investigated to evaluate the safety of acetamiprid on silkworm production. The results indicated that the LC50 on 3rd instar larvae was 0.2964 mg/L,95% confidence limit was 0.2770~0.3257 mg/L.The lethal rate of 3rd instar new silkworm after ecdysis feed with the leaves,60 days after sprayed with water dispersible granule of 2500 times,5000 times and 10000 times dilution of 70% acetamiprid,is 100%.The toxicity symptom of silkworm larvae are apastia, motionless, soaked chest, throw up liquid, shrink abdomen, tail bend to dorsa.acetamiprid shows strong acute peroral toxicity on silk worm larvae and a long pesticide residue, exceeding the leaf age of mulberry tree, the pesticide should be prohibited near the mulberry field.
