Abstract
Traditional Chinese intellectuals who existed as feudal scholar-officials were combined closely with politics,administered the country as their career and joined the identity,leading to the millennium role dislocation.Under the China's special social-economic-political-cultural background,the modern intellectuals are emerging.On the one hand,they inherit and develop the combination of the Scholar-officials with the politics and the identity.On the other hand,they are separated from politics,return to knowledge and serve the society and realize the modern intellectual double identity.The changes in the role of intellectuals not only promote the changes in the modern society,but also advocate the development of the modern culture,thus having an important impact on the development of the Chinese society.
