Abstract

To evaluate the applications of CT, MRI and DSA on patients with hemorrhagic cerebral arteriovenous malformation(AVM). Methods Sixty-eight patients with hemorrhagic cerebral AMI confirmed by angiography or pathology were summarized and analyzed. The patients were performed with imaging inspections before admittance, 68 with CT, 39 with MRI, 21 with DSA and 17 with two or more inspections. Imaging results were compared following. Results Diagnostic accordance of CT was lowest (75%), yet signs of hematoma, calcification and density variety displayed well. MRI had a best sensitivity(100%), with the dilated and tortuous nidus of AVMs on TIWI and T2WI. The appearances of hematoma were variable. Feeding arteries and draining veins were showed clearly on MRA. DSA was gold standard to clearify cerebral AVM, while the false negativity was 4.8%. Conclusion CT, MRI and DSA play important roles in diagnosis of hemorrhagic cerebral AVM. Combination with CT, MRI and DSA could sharply improve the accuracy of diagnosis and aid in the comprehensive evaluation of cerebral AVM.
