Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of cytokine induced killer(cytoking induced killer,CIK) combined with radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods 120 cases of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma diagnosed by pathology in our hospital form March 2011 to May 2013 were selected, and randomly divided into experimental group of 60 patients with CIK combined with radiotherapy, and control group of 60 patients receiving radiotherapy. The difference of clinical therapeutic effect and complications in the two groups were observed. Results The effective rate of the experimental group was 91.7%,significantly higher than that of 76.7% in the control group(P 0.05);the incidence of complications in the experimental group was 13.3%,lower than that of 28.3% in the control group, with significant difference(P 0.05). Conclusions CIK combined with radiotherapy is effective in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. It can significantly eliminate tumor, decrease the incidence of complications in patients, and improve the life quality of patients.
