Abstract
Objective To analyze the efficacy of T-plate internal fixation in the treatment of unstable distal radius fractures. Methods 116 cases of patients with unstable distal radius fractures admitted in our hospital from March,2006 to May,2010 were divided into control group and observation group randomly.Clinical parameters showed there were no statistically significant differences between the groups. The observation group was treated with open reduction and T-plate internal fixation. The control group was treated with the conventional therapy, traction reduction and plaster external fixation. All the patients were followed up for one year post-discharge.The efficacies and complications of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results According to Dienst functional evaluation standard, the observation group had better evaluation than that of the control group;its treatment effect was more ideal, and its incidence of complications was significantly lower than that of the control group. Conclusion Compared with the conventional therapy, the efficacy of T-plate internal fixation in the treatment of unstable distal radius fractures was better, and the postoperative functional recovery of the patients was more ideal. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P0.05),which prove that T-plate internal fixation is an ideal therapy for unstable distal radius fractures.
