Subfascial endoscopic perforator surgery on the treatment of chronic venous ulcer of lower limbs

Aim To explore the effects and clinical value of subfascial endoscopic perforator surgery(SEPS)on the treatment of chronic venous ulcer of lower limbs.Methods Retrospective analysis was made of 62 patients(76 legs)with chronic venous ulcer of lower limbs treated by SEPS.Result Superficial vein varicosis disappeared in all cases,skin pigmentation declinded significantly and ulcer healed in 3 to 5 w.The operative time was between 30 and 45 min.Hospitalization days were 5 to 7 d.Conclusions SEPS should be the safe and effective method to treat chronic venous ulcer of lower limbs for its advantages include less pain,more rapid recovery,shorter hospitalization,fewer complications and fewer recurrence rate.
