Abstract

With the increase of the population, the development of the agriculture and industry and the rise of the people's living level, the demand to the groundwater resource is greatly increasing. The moving way of the groundwater is penetrate flow through the gaps in the stratum, namely seepage. It is very important for guiding the rational exploitation and use of the groundwater and ensuring the safety of the groundwater supply project to enhance the analysis and study of the groundwater seepage and evaluate the groundwater resource and predict its changing tendency. At present, there are a large number of methods to analyze the simulation of the flow, which are applicable for different hydrogeological conditions. The one used in this paper is ASMWIN software of German. It is of the rather high reliability to the simulation of the two-dimensional groundwater flow and the mass transport. It is the two-dimensional flow of the porous unconfined aquifer in Zhenjiang City that the method is applied to the groundwater flow simulation. The simulation result shows that the software is easy to be operated and the results of the evaluation are identical to the real hydrogeological conditions, so it will be widely used in the future.
