Abstract
The scope of existing accounting of national income is too narrow for property income, and is inconsistent with the nature of property income. In measuring the distribution of personal income rather than describing the overall cycle of national income, the use of the requirements of the existing national accounts to measure the property income levels of the residents and the individuals' income gap will cause great errors. The income brought by all property, the income by the use of property, the retained earnings of enterprise and the property value-added income should all be included in the statistics of property income. This is of great significance to the correct understanding of the distribution of income so as to promote more residents to have their own property income.
