Linguistic Semiotics: Continuation and Development of Saussure's Behest

Abstract

Linguistic semiotics as an independent discipline is a continuation and development of Saussure's semiotics behest and the result of linguistics and semiotics integration. Linguistic semiotics,taking language as the metasemiotic system,solves linguistic problems in the perspective of semiotics. In the frame of linguistic semiotics, language is no longer the tool of description and thinking,but the dynamic process of meaning and world cultural order construction by human beings with signs.
