Abstract
A new chemiluminescence, i.e, Luminol H\-2O\-2 catalyzed by Fe(Ⅲ) is reported. Based on this catalyse a new chemiluminescence method for determining trace Fe(Ⅲ) is proposed. The function of surface active agent in this system was reasonably explained. The selectivity of this chemiluminescence reaction was increased by selecting a proper masking agent. On the basis of above researches, a chemiluminescence method for the determination of trace Fe(Ⅲ) in quartz had been developed. The detection limit of this method is 6.8×10\+ -8 g/L, recovery is 97 %~108 %. The results of the determination of some ore samples by this method were in accordance with that from the atomic absorption spectroscopic method.
