Abstract
Aim: To investigate the expression of Survivin and Caspase-3 in cervical carcinogenesis. Methods:The expression of Survivin,Caspase-3 in 42 cases of cervical cancer, 13 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and 8 cases of normal tissues were detected using SP immunohistochemical technique.Results: The positive rates of Survivin increased, and Caspase-3 decreased from normal cervical, CIN to cervical carcinomas tissues(P0.05). The expression of Survivin was related to tumor grades and lymph node metastasis, but not related to clinical stage and histopathologic type. The expression of Survivin in cervical cancer tissue was associated with that of Caspase-3 (P=0.019 7).Conclusion: The high expression of Survivin and low expression of Caspase-3 were closely correlated with the development of cervical cancer.
