Infection Distribution of 103 Strains of Pseudomonas Aeruginosau and Analysis of its Drug Sensitive Test

Abstract

Objective To study the sensitivity and drug tolerance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to antibiotics.Methods A retrospective analysis was made to the results of drug sensitive tests of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from clinical samples in our hospital.Results 103 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated in total,70 strains from respiratory tracts (68.0%) and 23 strains from wound secretion (22.4%).Its drug tolerance rates to Imipenem and Cilostatin Sodium,Meropenem and Amikacin Sulfate were 8.7%,10.7% and 18.5% respectively;and its drug tolerance rate to Compound Sulfamethoxazole and Ampicillin was 93.2% and 91.3% respectively.Conclusions The infection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was found mainly in respiratory tract and wound,and it has a strong drug tolerance to antibiotics.The management of antibiotic application should be strict and clinical application of antibiotics should be performed under the guidance with the drug sensitive test results.Carbapenems antibiotics may be the first-choice drug for severe infection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and aminoglycoside antibiotics may be the second-choice drug.
