Clinical Research on Three Therapeutic Regimens of Common Hand-foot-mouth Disease

Objective To compare the clinical effects of three therapeutic regimens of common hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD). Methods 200 common HFMD children were assigned to TCM group(n=75),western medicine group(n=75) and integrative medicine group(n=75). The time of deflorescence,and relief time of fever,cough,anorexia,chills and other symptoms of children were observed. Results The time of deflorescence in TCM group,integrative medicine group was shorter respectively than that of western medicine group(P0.05),the relief time of cough,anorexia and chills were also shorter significantly than those of western medicine group(P0.05),but there was not significant difference in relief time of cough between integrative medicine group and western medicine group. Conclusion Chinese medicines have some advantages in improving the clinical symptoms and reducing complications for treating HFMD.
