Clinical research of 60 patients suffers from severe hand-foot-mouth disease treated with TCM and western medicine

Abstract

Objective To discuss the therapeutic effect of severe hand-foot-mouth disease's treatment with TCM and western medicine.Methods According to whether TCM was used,severe hand-foot-mouth disease cases were divided into two groups:therapeutic group and observed group.Clinical information was compared and analyzed for each group.Results The febrile duration,CNS involvement duration,time of staying in hospital,and recovery rate in two groups were significantly different (P0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion TCM used in the treatment of severe hand-foot-mouth disease could shorten the course and improve its prognosis.This study supported the efficiency of TCM in the treatment of severe hand-foot-mouth disease.
