Abstract
From 1970s to 1990s,due to the new international situation and problems caused by popularization of high education,Japan conducted a series of reforms and adjustments,and obtained a great of achievements in higher education,which is called the third education reform in Japanese education history.The Third Education Reform in Japan is the result of intensification of various conflicts of society and education,and it is also the self-survey and self-improvement of Japanese education.The experience and implication from Japanese third education reform can be used for reference for development of higher education in China.
