Abstract

The great youth patriotic movement which broke out on May 4th of 1919 had a far-reaching influence on the Chinese revolution. The May 4th Moverment was guided by the New Culture Movement. The rise of the New Culture Movement, the influence of the October Revolution and the spread of Marxism accelerated the new awakening of the Chinese youths and provided important ideological prerequisite conditions for the Chinese youth to go on the political stage as a new social group.
