The Wild Nature Edible Pigment Plant Resource in Youxi County and Its Exploration and Utilization

This paper conducted a comprehensive investigation on the wild nature edible pigment plant resource in Youxi County,and the results indicated the plants in the area belonged to 21 families,24 genera and 37 species.There were 25 species of woody plants,and 12 species of herb plants.The dominant families were rosaceae,azalea,and grape families,the advantage genera were Raspberry,blueberry,and grape genera.Available parts were root,root stem,stem,leaf,bark,flower,petal,fruit,pericarp,juice and the whole plant,there were most available types of fruit.Dye colors were red,purple red,orange red,yellow,orange yellow,green,black,brown,dark brown,purple,blue and others,the red pigment was the most,the yellow followed.There were wild distribution area,big storage amount and high utilization value for plants such as Gardenia Jasminoide,Solanum Nigrum,Arthraxon Hispidus,Polygonum Cuspidatum,Curcuma Longa,Rosa Laevigata,Radix Phytolaccae,and some genera like Raspberry,Grape,blueberry and Pod,which was worth further exploitation and protection.
