Abstract
The cut-flowers of Gladiolus hybridus Hort.,which were to be inserted in vase, were treated by 1-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP)under different concentrations. The result showed that compared with control treatment,1-MCP treament could improve the blossom rate of Gladiolus hybridus cut-flowers and increase theirs ornamental value, and reduce theirs withering degree. It also showed that the effect of 1-MCP treatment with φ=0.1 mL·L~(-1) was particularly the best. This treatment could extend the life of cut-flowers and improve theirs exterior quality, meantime could also retard the relative permeability of petals and leaves' plasma membrane, and have a certain effect on the content of petal protein and leaf chlorophyll.
