Abstract
The present situation that rural buildings have low earthquake resistance is pointed out.According to the characteristics of the rural building,the low-cost seismic isolation technology applicable to rural buildings is reviewed,and the new research progress in this area is introduced.The problems needing attention in the future is discussed,so as to the loss owning to seismic damage.
