Abstract
The friction and wear properties of PTFE composites filled with MoS 2, PbS, carbon fiber, glass fiber and graphite were studied by using MPV 200 model friction and wear tester and caustic wear one. At the same time, the effects of fillers on impact strength and rigidity of PTFE were discussed. Stuffing can reduce the wear of PTFE by 2 orders of magnitude. Graphite reduces the friction coefficient of PTFE, but glass fiber, carbon fiber and PbS increase the friction coefficient of PTFE. The co action of graphite and fiber glass has great effects on the friction and wear properties of PTFE, which can not only increase the surface rigidity of PTFE, but also greatly reduce the wear of PTFE, furthermore, the impact strength is improved. The mechanism was systemically analyzed.
