Goodness and Badness of Tragic Characters

Abstract

This essay has tried to analyze the notions of tragic characters since Aristotle.Compared to Aristotle'sGood Manand Hegel's Art Idea in the Heroic Times,we have affirmed the heroes'inevitability as tragic leading roles confronted with the pressure from the nature.We have also compared the differences between two ideas on the aspects of fields and purposes,and the two ideas are Hegel's tragedy theories and Chinese ideas of Harmonious.
