Man Zi is a high frequency word.The sixth version Contemporary Chinese Dictionary,as most authoritative one,has only one definition of this word.Based on language statistics,this article concludes that Man Zi has four senses of dictionary entry,such as the south man whose accent is different from north man in old days;used as a disparaging term for a national minority in feudal times;a disparaging term that natives treat foreigners;a call to person who is swift,fierce,boorish and unreasonable.
