Abstract
Objective To study the clinical effect of laparoscopic surgery and laparotomy in the treatment of benign ovarian tumors. Methods From October 2012 and October 2014, 96 patients with benign ovarian tumors were selected in this hospital and were randomized to receive laparotomy(the control group, n=48) and the laparoscopic surgery(the observation group, n=48). The operation duration, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative exhaust time, postoperative pathologic classification, hospital stay, complication rate were compared between the two procedures. Results The operation duration, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative exhaust time, length of hospital stay were all lower in the observation group than in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant, P 0.05. It was indicated by the postoperative pathologic classification that there was statistically significant difference in the type of ovarian tumors between the two groups, P0.05.The complication rate was lower in the observation group than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant, P0.05. Conclusion Compared with laparotomy, laparoscopic surgery can bring better efficacy in the treatment of benign ovarian tumors and is worthy to be popularized due to its shorter operation duration, earlier exhaustion after operation, less amount of bleeding, lower complication rate, and quick recovery.
