Abstract
About whether to introduce restorative justice in China,disagreement still exists,which is generated mainly by such misbelieves that restorative justice encourages individual challenge to government power,that the purpose of restorative justice is only to restore social order before the crime happens and that application of restorative justice means the weakening of criminal jurisdiction.In order to protect the victims′ right,to help recast the criminals and to economize limited justice resources,it is urgent for China to introduce restorative justice,which aims at mending the damaged social relation with victims as the focus of consideration.Such purpose does not go against the present criminal justice system and so deserves to be regulated by law.
