Abstract

Objective: To screen the hepatocellular carcinoma associated genes by cDNA microarray. Methods: The company of CapitalBio gene chips were used to analyze gene expression profiles in hepatocellular carcinoma and normal tissues. The results were analyzed by bioinformaties methods. Results: By applying this cDNA microarray,326 differentially expressed genes in hepatocellular carcinoma were screened out among the 16000 target genes, comprising 194 known genes and 132 new gene.Among the known genes, upregulated and downregulated genes were 113 and 81 respectively, including oncogenes and tumor suppression genes, immune related genes, cell signal transduction related genes, protein translation and synthesis related genes, metabolism related genes, cell cycle related genes, cell skeleton related genes, cell apoptosis related genes,DNA synthesis related genes,DNA damage and repair-related genes. Conclusion: The analysis of the gene expression profile of hepatocellular carcinoma using cDNA microarray can rapidly select associated abnormal genes, and it can help to rapidly explore the genes function.Further analysis of the obtained genes will help to understand the molecular mechanism of the hepatocellular carcinoma.
