Abstract
Objective To study the effects of hyper-selective hepatic artery embolization (HAE) for the treatment of cavernous hemangioma of liver(CHL). Methods 5 patients with cavernous hemangioma of liver, were embolized by intra-arterial pingyangmycin-lipiodol emulsion (PLE). Follow-up was periodical after operation. Results The success ratio of embolization was 100%. The complication was few and recurrence ratio was low. Conclusions HAE is a safe and effective method for cavernous hemangioma of liver.
