On CAO Zhi's Poems of Mystical Excursion

CAO Zhi's poems of mystical excursion can be divided into four categories in content: showing the fun of immortals——enjoying life in the fairyland;expressing the desire for freedom——the free world in the poems,the reflection of his consciousness;revealing the affection of reclusion and detachment——hard to be an immortal,he'd like to be a hermit in his own spiritual home,being indifferent to the fame;looking forward to living forever and making contribution——CAO Zhi deeply felt that time flies,so he desired for a prolonged life in his poems to complete his wish of fostering achievements.In comparison with GUO Pu's poems of mystical excursion,the characteristics of CAO Zhi's can be clearly seen that: enterprising spirit,expressing the thirst for freedom by the means of roaming the paradise,and intensely individual consciousness.
