On the Core Journals in Chinese

The core journals is the a reflection of the distribution of the papers of science, humanities and social sciences. At present there are several characteristics in the study of core journals in Chinese:stability methods, quantity and quality combining, value data enriching, and characteristic with utilizing computers to select, also catalogues of core journals and source journals increasing. It plays an important role in promoting journal quality, optimizing library storage, raising the evaluation on the journals and papers efficiently, but it also has some weakpoints on fundamental study, falling short of publicity, excessively adhering to form, and lacking of cooperation.The writer proposes four points to lead later study, which include paying attention to fundamental problems, method of evaluation, experts' opinions and joint study.
