Abstract

special feature of choosing core journals in A Guide to the Core Journals in Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences is that the academic impact of the periodicals is mainly evaluated with citation of articles in disciplines. Whole citation of journals and a numerical datum of subject articles of journals are used as supplement. The comprehensive learned journals also play an important role in the appraising process according to the disciplines covered by them and to their place in academic performance competition in disciplines.
