Abstract
Objective To compare the methods of ELISA and IBT in detecting the specific antibodies in the patients with pemphigus. Methods Twenty-three pemphigus patients(PV-13,PF-10) and 10 controls were enrolled in the study. ELISA and IBT were performed for detecting anti-Dsg 1 and Dsg 3 antibodies. Results The rate of positivity of the two methods were both 91.30%. There were no significant statistic differences (P=0.400 and 1.000 respectively). Conclusion Both ELISA and IBT are important in the diagnosis of pemphigus .ELISA is more convenient and helpful.
