Abstract

Objective: To observe the effect of perindopril combined with metoprolol in treatment of chronic congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods:112 patients with CHF were randomly divided into two groups, including experimental and control groups.Fifty-six cases in the experimental group were treated with a combination of enalapril and metoprolol as well as conventional treatment, while 56 cases in the control group were only treated with enalapril and conventional treatment. After the treatment of 18 months, symptom remission rate, left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVDd),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and case fatality rate were detected. Results:There was significant difference between symptom remission rates(P0.01),LVDd(P0.05),LVEF(P0.01) and mortality rate(P0.01).Conclusion:Perindopril combined with metoprolol is more effective than the single use of Perindopril in the treatment of CHF.
