CT findings of metastatic neuroendocrine carcinoma of liver

Objective To investigate the computed tomography(CT) imaging features of metastatic neuroendocrine carcinoma of the liver.Methods The imaging materials of 15 patients were retrospectively analyzed and the imaging features were induced.Results The CT plain film of the liver metastatic neuroendocrine carcinoma showed slightly low density or isodensity mass,cystic necrosis was rare.The tumor always showed uniform density when the tumor was not more than 2 cm in diameter,and showed nonuniform when the tumor was more than 3 cm in diameter,with cystic necrosis in it.The tumor was enhanced homogeneously in the arterial phase,showed lower density or isodensity in the portal phase,low density in the delayed phase.Conclusion The multi-slice spiral CT findings of metastatic neuroendocrine carcinoma of the liver has some special findings,which could provide help for the identification of clinical diagnosis.
