Abstract
Typically domestic and overseas researches concerning inert (or non-consumable) anodes for the aluminium electrolysis industries were reviewed. Materials selection of metal-?ceramic-and cermet-based inert anode is briefly discussed. Problems in application and research of inert anodes are also analyzed. Thinking that inert anode is used in industries maybe have a long way to go, and wishing that elite in relative fields participate to research inert anode.
