Study on distribution disciplines of syndromes in 128 Cases of chronic non-atrophic gastritis from distinguished Chinese doctor Mr. He Yan-Shen

Objective To investigate the distribution disciplines of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) syndromes in chronic non-atrophic gastritis (CNAG) of the distinguished Chinese doctor Mr. He Yan-Shen. Methods One hundred and twenty-eight cases of CNAG treated by Dr. He were recorded, and the differentiation rules were explored by data mining. Results There were 18 TCM syndromes, among which the mixed type syndromes accounted for 76.57%, and the single syndrome accounted for 13.28%. According to the frequencies, the most common 7 TCM syndromes were spleen-deficiency and Qi stagnation syndrome(44.53%), spleen-deficiency with stomach-heat syndrome (11.72%), spleen-deficiency and dampness-heat syndrome(8.59%), spleen-deficiency with stomach-heat and Qi stagnation syndrome(5.47%), asthenia cold syndrome(5.47%), stomach-heat with Qi stagnation syndrome (5.47%), and spleen-deficiency syndrome(4.69%). Conclusion The syndromes of spleen-deficiency and stagnation of liver-qi are commonly found in CNAG based on distinguished Chinese Doctor Mr. He Yan-Shen.
