Salicylate-Pillared Hydrotalcites Prepared by Different Methods

Abstract

In this paper,salicylate-pillared hydrotalcites were synthesized by using of direct anion exchange method,memory effect method and in-situ synthesis method,and a comparison was made for the effects of the synthetic methods on the properties of the synthesized samples.Results showed that with all the methods,salicylate-pillared hydrotalcites be obtained with the samples synthesized by in-situ synthesis method having higher crystallity and better layered structure.DTA results demonstrate that the thermal stabilities of the brucite-like layers and the inserted anion pillars in the salicylate-pillared hydrotalcites were largely improved due to the host-guest interaction.
