A Study on Preparation of the Modified Silicone Acrylate Emulsion of Multipolymer

Abstract

A silicone acrylate emulsion is prepared by emulsion polymerization.The influences of ingredients and conditions on polymerization,coagulation amount are investigated.The properties of the latex and its film are analysed by IR,laser granularity analyser and etc.When the appropriate rate of SDS and OP-10 is 1:2,the right amount of emulsifier is 1.5% of the monomer's,the temperature of polymerization is 80℃ and the maximal proportion of silicone is 9.1%,its stability meets the national standard.The flim's water resistance and hardness are improved on simple acrylate's.
