Boundary Effects and the Study of Yangtze River Delta Economic Integration

This paper analyses the Yangtze River Delta economic integration trend since 1988 and the influence from boundary effect to the Yangtze River Delta economic integration.The article makes Empirical Analysis mainly through economic growth convergence model,Barro regression equation and boundary effect model that Head and Mayer have made some amendment,which shows,as a whole,the trend of the Yangtze River Delta economic integration trend is obvious,and have a decreasing boundary effects and an increasing convergence.But since the 21st century,the boundary shielding effects of Jiangsu,Shanghai and Zhejiang is becoming larger,because local governments always pursue the biggest benefits within administrative areas.So the way to Yangtze River Delta economic integration is still long.
