A Research on Sustainable Utilization of Cultivated Land Resource in Urban Mountainous Areas——With Mentougou District as an Example

Taking Mentougou district in Beijing as an example,through spatial analysis,distance analysis of geographic information system and field questionnaire investigation,this paper points out that the low comparative benefit of utilization of cultivated land resource and the peasants'willingness to go to cities are the main reasons for wasted cultivation of farmland,based on the judgment of characteristics of cultivated land resource in urban mountainous and household behavior.Contrary to peasants,townspeople yearn for the beautiful,quiet mountainous area scene.Peasants in urban mountainous area should utilize this potential market by developing agro-tourism,which will not only increase their incomes but also achieve effective protection of cultivated land,creating an effective way of sustainable utilization of cultivated Land resources.
