Abstract
To research the ecological safety of land in Chaoyang, the authors took the ecological footprint analysis to calculate its ecological footprint(EF) and ecological capacity(EC) from 2004 to 2008: the ecological footprint per capita increased from 4.3447hm2 in 2004 to 7.1938 hm2 in 2008;the ecological capacity per capita increased from 1.0370hm2 in 2004 to1.0609 hm2 in 2008.The results showed that ecological footprint demand and supply were uneven;there was the phenomenon of ecological deficit, and the land resource was almost in the ecology over burden condition. It was suggested that the land use mode of sustainable development should be further strengthened.
